A man has died after a house fire in Norbury.

Firefighters rescued the elderly victim from a first-floor bedroom in the house in Norbury Crescent in the early hours of Saturday.

He died later in hospital.

Four engines and 21 firefighters from Norbury and Tooting stations were called to the blaze at 4.26am and found a large part of ground floor of the semi-detached house alight.
