TV show Britain’s Got Talent often features the weird and wonderful that the UK has to offer.

Carl Whitman, 30, who works at the Morrisons store in Southbury Road, Enfield, will take up a challenge as part of the supermarket’s sponsorship of the programme.

Mr Whitman will perform a time-based challenge in the advertising break, during which he will collect as many trolleys from around the store car park as he can.

Mr Whitman said: “I love my day-to-day job interacting with customers and the challenges which I deal with to keep the store running smoothly, but filming the advert was a fun change to a normal day at work and a real laugh.

"My friends and family think it is great that I am soon to be a television star and it’s fun having a bit of banter about my challenge!

“It was great to be chosen to star in a sponsorship campaign that shows off the great work that goes on in our store.”

The show kicked off again last weekend and will see Peter Dickson, the ‘voiceover man’ from the show, commentate on Mr Whitman’s challenge.
