A thief who stole a car worth almost £9,000 has been given 250 hours of unpaid work.

Fahim Agha Safe, of High Street, Whitton, must also pay £300 in court costs and a £60 victim surcharge after he was found guilty of theft.

The 27-year-old, who appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on April 9, denied stealing the VW Golf last year belonging to Blackhorse Finance in London.
