Noisy neighbours beware – Elmbridge Council and Surrey Police have joined forces to take on the audibly antisocial late at night.
Council officers will join police on patrol between 8.30pm on Saturdays and 3am on Sundays to investigate noise nuisance reports, as well as taxi and alcohol issues.
A re-run of a scheme introduced last year, the out-of-hours service is now backed up by penalty notices for infringers.
Exceeding permitted noise levels could land residents and businesses with fines of £100 and £500, respectively.
