Paul Farrant, of Kingston, will be pounding the streets of London alongside former England striker Michael Owen, tackling the 26 miles 365 yards on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK.

He was inspired to campaign for the charity after his father and two uncles were diagnosed with prostate cancer.

His father and one uncle were successfully treated, but unfortunately his other uncle passed away.

He said: “I am looking forward to the run and I’m delighted to be raising awareness and much needed money to help the fight against prostate cancer.”

Michael Owen is also raising money for the charity after his dad a prostate cancer scare.
