A businessman has tasked children with baking treats and making a profit over the Easter break.

Kanna Mahunda, a retailer from Budgens in Stoneleigh Broadway, Stoneleigh, has briefed a Year 5 class at Meadow Primary School in Sparrow Farm Road.

The student who makes the biggest profit will win a hamper of baking ingredients.

Mr Mahunda said: "As an independent businessman myself, promoting young entrepreneurship is something that I am extremely excited about.

"The students will learn about profits and loss and how hard work can really pay off."
