Teenage boy electrocuted at Horley Railway Station

Police officers are appealing for information after a teenager was electrocuted on the tracks at Horley Railway Station.
The 15-year-old boy, who has not yet been named but has been reported as being local, is believed to have fallen from the platform and come into contact with the live power rail.
He was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday (April 7).
Emergency services, British Transport Police (BTP) and Surrey Police were called to the station in Victoria Road mid-evening.
A BTP spokesman said they received a report of a body on the tracks at 8.41pm.
The spokesman said: “On arrival, officers discovered the body of a 15-year-old local boy who is believed to have been electrocuted after falling from the platform and coming into contact with the live power rail. “He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The spokesman continued: “Officers are currently with the boy's family and we will assist in the compilation of a report for the coroner.
“At this stage, officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances and the incident appears to have been the result of a tragic accident.”
