A rape victim has been left devastated and terrified at news her attacker is being released from prison back to an address near her home.

Moses Aghedo, now 22, was just 16 when he brutally raped two 14-year-old girls - in Plumstead High Street and Plumstead Common.

This Is Local London: One of the victims was raped on Plumstead Common

Just six years later he is being released from jail and is due to move back to Plumstead later this month.

One of his victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told News Shopper how the two-hour ordeal left her with internal injuries and a sexually transmitted disease.

She also admits hearing voices in her head and has attempted suicide several times since the attack.

She said: "I feel like I have been torn in half. My heart has been ripped. I feel broken.

"He has ruined my insides. I bleed every single day.

"He turned me mad.

"I haven’t slept a whole night in six years."

The victim added she is effectively "imprisoned" in Mottingham, Eltham and Thamesmead - as he is banned from visiting these areas.

Aghedo dragged one of his victims into a car park near Plumstead High Street and raped her twice while banging her head against a skip on April 2 in 2008.

Greenwich police found forensic evidence at the scene linking him to this rape as well as another on a 14-year-old girl near Plumstead Common two months earlier.

The nightmare continues for the families who say they have received death threats and been attacked in public areas.

A relative of one of the victims said: "It is wrong that he should be able to go back to the same area where he raped a 14 year old girl.

"We are trying to change the decision that he is allowed to go back to the area where he committed the crimes.

"This man is a serious, serious predator.

"These girls need to know justice will be done."

Eltham MP Clive Efford, who "wept" upon hearing their story, has backed their mission and aims to take the case to parliament.

He said: "It is wrong this person should be released and able to return to an area where he could come across his victims.

"There has to be some limitation on the threat he can pose to their future well-being.

"We cannot assume he would commit another crime, but certainly his presence has a huge impact on the quality of their lives."

Aghedo was jailed for 12 years at Inner London Crown Court on December 12 in 2008 after being found guilty of three counts of rape. He has only served half his sentence.

A Probation Service spokesman said: "Serious offenders on licence are subject to strict conditions and can be recalled to prison if they breach them.

"Conditions can include exclusion zones or banning them from contacting individuals."

The families are about to set up a petition to change the law over rapists being released back into the same community.
