Children have gone head to head in an Easter bonnet competition in aid of a special school.
The finalists’ hats are on display in the window of Country Clothing Store, in Walton Street, Walton-on-the-Hill, and the winners will be announced on Good Friday.
The store and its parent company Farm Fencing have organised the contest in aid of Papillon House, a special school for children with autistic spectrum disorders and challenging behaviour in Tadworth.
Competing students come from Walton-on-the-Hill Primary School and Bramley School in Walton-on-the-Hill and Chinthurst School in Tadworth.
Jessica Connelly, milliner and store manager from Country Clothing, said they gave assemblies and workshops on hat making and the competition.
Of the workshops, Ms Connelly said: "Here the children had the chance to get as creative as they wanted, experimenting with every material possible."
