More than 200 shoppers had their blood pressure tested for free as part of an event aimed at raising awareness of strokes.
The Barnet Rotary Club organised the tests at The Spires shopping centre, in High Barnet, to mark national Stroke Awareness Day on Saturday.
Several of those who had their blood pressure tested by qualified medical professionals were referred to their GP for further advice.
Barnet’s Mayoress Councillor Wendy Prentice, Deputy Mayor Cllr Bridget Perry and the rotary club’s representative deputy lieutenant Martin Russell all took part and had their blood pressures certified as “normal”.
Cllr Prentice said: “Considering the hectic life style local politicians lead, I was delighted my blood pressure was normal.”
