A man was arrested after several vehicles were damaged in Walton over the weekend.

Police were called to Station Avenue after three vehicles were thought to be delibrately damaged.

A fourth vehicle was later identified by officers carrying out enquiries.

It is believed the incident occurred between around 6pm on Friday, March 28, and 12.30pm on Saturday, March 29.

Elmbridge Neighbourhood officer PC Chris Binns said: "Thankfully incidents of this nature are not a common occurrence.

"Having your car damaged is not only upsetting but causes a huge amount of inconvenience.

"Residents should remain vigilant - always lock your vehicle, even if you are only leaving it for a minute and remove all personal possessions."
