A giant Easter egg was the top prize at a Cobham school’s fundraising raffle.
St Matthew’s Infant School, in Downside Common Road, held a prize draw on Thursday to raise money for a new vegetable garden.
First prize was a giant chocolate egg worth £80, donated by Cobham patisserie Maison Blanc and won by headmistress Rhian Thornton.
The Holly Parade bakery also offered a free afternoon tea as a runner-up prize.
Students also took part in an Easter egg hunt through the school grounds, as well as several seasonal games and activities.
St Matthew’s school bursar Samantha Spooner said: “The money raised will be a great help towards building our new vegetable garden.
“The children need watering cans, gloves and rabbit fences to protect the vegetables, which all costs money.
“It will be so lovely to see the children grow their own produce which they can take home to eat or use for our lessons in cookery corner.”
