Footballers from a secondary school in Wood Green celebrated after clinching a 2-0 win in this year’s county cup final.

The under-17s from St Thomas More Catholic School, in Glendale Avenue, saw off a Finchley Catholic School XI to take home the trophy on Thursday.

Goals from Brandon Henry and Ramone Cassidy were enough to give their side a win in the Middlesex Cup Final, played at the Wingate and Finchley stadium.

Levi Beckford and Reece Stoyles were both named man-of-the-match in the school’s second county cup final win in as many years.
