Poker players in Walthamstow raised over £6,000 for the Great Ormond Street Hospital last week.
Members club Equal Chance in St James Street organised the Texas hold 'em match on Saturday night to celebrate the hospital’s commitment to seriously ill children.
A players’ entry fee, cash donations, an auction of signed celebrity photographs and a Champions League football contributed to money raised.
Club manager Asique Miah said he was delighted to support Great Ormond Street Hospital’s “unique good cause”.
