A woman has been rewarded for her work running Monkey Music lessons, to develop children’s social and musical skills.

Tracey Grobler received the Record Breaker award from Angie Coates, who founded the teaching method, because of her contribution to Monkey Music and her exceptional dedication.

Ms Grobler said: “I’m obviously delighted to receive this award. I love my work with Monkey Music.

“Sharing the wonder of music with young families is always a pleasure.”

Ms Coates said: “It’s been another great year at Monkey Music and Tracey’s success is a perfect example of how that’s being achieved, all across the UK.

“We wish Tracey and her team all the very best for another amazing year.”

Almost 500 children, ranging from three months to four years of age, now go to the Monkey Music lessons in Weybridge, Cobham, Hersham, Walton and Molesey.

During the weekly, 30-minute sessions small groups of children explore the world of music by singing, dancing and making music.
