A dance company took to the stage of one of the country’s most prestigious venues for a celebration of the county's education.
The Harrow-based Sujata Banerjee Dance Company performed at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Hertfordshire Schools’ Gala 2014.
The company was invited to perform a classical Indian dance to celebrate the 1960s, when the influence of Indian music was prominent in world culture and popular culture.
Dancer Sonia Chandaria said: “I couldn’t stop smiling when we danced at the Royal Albert Hall.
“There is something really special about that platform which seemed to bring out the best in all of us.
“On the day there was such a lovely buzz in the group and given the great feedback we got from friends, family and strangers I think our hard work paid off and the performance came together really well.
“We are grateful to our teacher, the musicians and our families for their support and encouragement over the last few months.”
