Racing on office chairs and throwing sponge balls at their manager proved popular events at Colets Health and Fitness Club last week.
Staff and members at the Thames Ditton club raised £1,300 for Sports Relief, exceeding their original target of £500.
The club decided to go all out to support Sports Relief and encourage people to suggest innovative ways to raise money.
Alongside less conventional fundraising activities such as two-hour spin sessions and out-running gym instructors, a raffle, quiz night and book sale also took place.
Jordan Orsini, general manager of Colets, said: “Our members enjoyed an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting prowess and give the fitness team a run for their money and our staff took great pleasure in dishing out some punishment by pelting me with sponge balls and being waited on hand and foot by the management team.”
