Princess Alice Hospice is one of the top 100 places to work in the country, according to the Sunday Times.

The Esher hospice was also ranked as the fourth best mid-sized organisation to work for which makes a significant difference to the world in 2014.

Staff at the hospice took part in a questionnaire and the results showed that almost 90 per cent of workers were proud to work for the hospice and felt the charity did its bit for the community.

Nicki Shaw, chief executive of Princess Alice Hospice, said: “We were delighted to learn that we had been awarded a two star accreditation and categorised as outstanding by best companies to work for.

“As we focus on delivering high quality care and support to our patients and their families the fact that our employees believe in what they do and the positive difference that they make makes me immensely proud.

“As a senior management team we recognise that all of our staff play an essential role in helping us deliver caring, compassionate services and by valuing them and investing in their support and wellbeing we help to ensure that they can continue to deliver the high quality care that they in turn are so proud of.”
