A care worker will run his third London Marathon next month to raise money for an inclusive theatre company.

Henry Atwooki Lutaaya, of Bulwer Road, New Barnet, is hoping to raise £1,800 for Chickenshed at the famous race on April 13.

The 39-year-old, who moved to London from Uganda nine years ago, wanted to help the Enfield-based charity after seeing its work first hand.

He was impressed after taking clients with special needs to the theatre, and has raised money for the organisation at the past two marathons.

Mr Lutaaya said: “Everything there is very inclusive. They aim to bring people together of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to produce outstanding theatre that inspires, challenges, entertains and educates both the audience and participants.”

The charity runner has organised a fundraising dance night at Club La Face, in Edmonton, on April 5, and has so far raised £300 towards his target.

He said: “I have been in training for some time and I had a bit of a setback with an injury recently but I will get there. I’m looking forward to it.”
