Lee Rigby murderer's brother criticises whole-life jail term

This Is Local London: Michael Adebolajo Michael Adebolajo

The brother of one of soldier Lee Rigby’s killers has said the murderer’s whole-life prison sentence was unjust.

Jeremiah Adebolajo is the brother of Michael Adebolajo who was jailed for life last month for murdering the fusilier with Michael Adebowale in a brutal attack in Woolwich.

He told the BBC it was “strange” his 29-year-old brother, of Oakwood Close, Hither Green, was given a longer sentence than Pavlo Lapshyn, a Ukranian man who killed a muslim and plotted to bomb a series of mosques.

He added that his brother would be “productive” to society if he was released and he had sympathy for the 25-year-old fusilier’s son, who would grow up fatherless.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 today (March 26), Jeremiah Adebolajo said: “It seems strange to me that a man can be sentenced to life for the death of one man and another man can be sentenced to 40 years for the death of one man and the attempted murder of many, many others.”

He went on to say he felt public outrage over the soldier’s death affected his brother’s sentence.

Mr Adebolajo added: “Certainly, I believe that my brother would live a very productive life were he to be released.”

Yet the media keep trying to claim that the Lee Rigby murderers had no support from their families....

Greenwich Council tried to claim that the Lee Rigby killers had no support from the local Muslim Community but then said they wouldn't have a Lee Rigby memorial.... because they were scared it would be vandalised by supporters of Lee Rigby's killers....

What have the British Sheeple voted for?

Some nerve shown there. What possible good can come off having this terrorist psycho released at all? He is in the correct place for the health of the public where he should remain for life. Having said that, the same should apply to the one with the somewhat lenient sentence also.

Caught red handed (so to speak), so not really any leg to stand on. Tbh, they were lucky to get the whole life term as I am sure others wanted something more 'permanent'.

If this is Greenwich councils/govenments excuse that it will be vandalised then lets have a camera looking at it 24 hours a day, the same as what were paying for, for Stephen Lawrence to have on shooters hill.
No plaque and camera for Lee Rigby?..............

Too right it is. If you should be caught on camera sneezing over poor Stephens bit of pavement, It's instant arrest. Such a blindingly waste of surveillance resources and money, not to mention the police's time and money.
Here is a fallen hero, who did far more in life for queen and country/ies, yet gets scant Thanks and public recognition awarded from the peoples he gave his life for for fear it offends the nobodies who mean nothing in this country - terrorists. That's how precious one mans life is compared to another with these politicians and self serving 'celebs'.

Maybe it is also Heightist too? Has anyone compared the heights of Lee Rigby and Stephen Lawrence? It could be Ageism too? What was the difference between their ages? Hang on, let me see which other 'differences' there were between these two men...

No, it is not Heightist, Ageist, or even Racist. Give it time, I am sure that the weight of public opinion will mean that Lee Rigby also gets a plaque on the floor where he died after being murdered, which is covered by cctv because some moron think it if funny to desecrate the spot. Remember, Stephen's plaque did not appear just like that - it was the weight of public opinion at the time and the tireless work of his family which made it -finally- appear.

What -is- Racist is how, just because one of these men was black and one of these men was white, certain people jump to conclusions based on just that fact without first applying logic to the situation. It's the same as comments like "The photo said it all!" - Now -THATS- Racism, not this.
