A unique apartment dubbed ‘London’s quirkiest flat' has been listed on the website of an estate agent tasked with finding a tenant.

The two-bedroom property, which owner Simon Edwards has spent almost 10,000 hours over 13 years transforming into a mural wonderland, will be available to let from April.

Cosway Estates describes the Mill Hill home, in Linden Court, as “a spectacular, one-of-a-kind flat”, adding that it is “unusual” and “a one-off”.

Estate agent Mark Nasab, from Cosway Estates, said he had never seen anything like it after viewing the property last week.

The description on the agent’s website continues: “The flat comprises of an alien-type hallway, the master bedroom is adorned with Flash Gordon murals.

“The living room focuses on a temple scene, with the second bedroom converging on an underwater scene with 3D murals.”

Cosway has listed the flat at £300-a-week, or £1,200pcm.

Mr Edwards bought the flat 13 years ago but is putting it up for rent so he and his wife Jo can move to a house on the other side of Mill Hill.

He has spent thousands of hours adorning every room with incredibly detailed hand-painted murals.

The lounge depicts the archaic temples of Guatemala, while the dining room sits under an Amazonian sun set.

Aliens burst out of the walls of the entrance hallway in a tribute to the 1979 Ridley Scott film, while the master bedroom is covered with comic book strips in homage to cult action hero Flash Gordon.

The main hallways is adorned with heiroglyphics in an Egyptian tomb theme, while the spare bedroom depicts a London Atlantis scene.

Mr Edwards admitted last week it would take “a very unique tenant” to rent the quirky home.
