More than 200 talented singers from across nine schools took part in a diverse music festival.
Organised by St Christopher’s School, in Downs Road, Epsom, St Christopher’s Music Festival provided a feast of music at St Martin’s Church, in Church Street, Epsom, last Thursday, March 13.
Scholars from Epsom College, based in College Road, Epsom, provided the arrival music, with Ashtead Park’s City of London Freemen’s School providing a talented trio of musicians who delighted the audience in the interlude.
Year Two choirs from six schools sang two songs each, including some in Mandarin and Italian.
All participants then attended a lunch at St Christopher's School, which included Epsom’s mayor Councillor Colin Taylor who had enjoyed the festival.
Annie Thackray, St Christopher’s School’s headteacher, said: "It is a unique opportunity to sing an ambitious range of songs and enjoy a festival of wonderful musical experiences that will inspire the next generation of talented and enthusiastic musicians."
