Haringey Police have promised to take action against anti-social behaviour on a street plagued by yobs for the past ten years.

Neighbours in Boundary Road, Wood Green, claim they have had to put up with people drinking alcohol, smoking drugs in the street and making noise throughout the night.

They have repeatedly complained to both the police and Haringey Borough Council but claim little has been done.

However Police Sergeant Stephen Johnston-Keay, of the West Green Safer Neighbourhood Police Team, said he is trying to find a solution to the problem.

He said: "My team are aware of the anti-social behaviour issues in the Boundary Road area. We are working with the local authority to address resident's concerns.

"We understand the misery that anti-social behaviour can cause to the community and we will continue to work with our borough partners to formulate a long term solution to this issue."

Haringey Council said it was investigating the complaints and would not tolerate anti-social behaviour in the borough.
