Crime fiction fans got the chance to meet one of Britain’s best-selling authors when Peter James visited Richmond Waterstone’s to sign copies of his world famous novels.

The author, who has sold more than 15m of his Roy Grace series, had his work produced for the stage in The Perfect Murder – which will appear at Richmond Theatre in April.

He spoke to invited guests at Richmond Theatre about the upcoming production before heading on to the bookshop on Tuesday, March 18.

The author said: “Ever since I was a small boy when my parents first took me to the theatre , I dreamed of one day having something I wrote appear on the stage, and this wonderful, extremely funny and in parts very scary adaptation on The Perfect Murder is truly a dream come true.

“And I do not think we could have a more perfect, murderously wonderful cast.”

He signed a stack of extra copies of his books for Waterstone’s to sell this week.
