A museum will be giving people the chance to find out about plans for historic Headstone Manor at an open day this week.

Harrow Museum will host the free event at the Pinner View site on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

It will be a chance to celebrate the reopening of museum as well as an opportunity for people to find out about plans for the Manor house, museum and barn.

Harrow Borough Council says it hopes to create a sustainable future for the site, with restoration work on its great barn due to begin later this month and end in November.

Work has already started on the restoration of the Manor House and the creation of a new museum with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Architects, landscape architects, exhibition designers will be on hand for people talk to about the plans for the site on the day.
