Three men were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire yesterday.

More than 20 firefighters were called to a flat in High Road, Leyton, near the junction with Warren Road, just after 5pm.

The men had escaped the flat by the time emergency crews arrived.

The fire brigade reported that all injuries were minor.

Investigators believe the fire started accidentally.

No further information is being released at this stage.
