Two people were taken to hospital after a two-car crash on London Road in Greenhithe near the McDonalds roundabout.

The accident happened at 11.10am on Thursday when a silver Vauxhall Corsa and blue Ford Fiesta collided on the busy junction.

The junction with Hedge Place Road and Stone Place Road was closed by Kent Police so investigation and recovery could take place at the scene.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance said: "We were called at 11.15am and sent two ambulance crews.

"There were two patients after a two car collision and they were taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

"There are no other details available."
