Haringey Borough Council is to host an event for people who want to enter the world of poltics and represent their community as a councillor.
The event will take place at the Civic Centre, in High Road, Wood Green, on Tuesday, March 25, from 6.30pm to 7.30.
It is an opportunity for people thinking about standing as a council candidate, or already selected by their parties, to find out more about what being a councillor involves.
Nick Walkley, the chief executive of Haringey council, will host the evening and George Cooper, the authority’s head of electoral services, will explain the election process and what being a councillor entails.
Those wishing to attend should inform Haringey Council’s Members’ Services by emailing making.your.voice.heard@haringey.gov.uk
