Since summer 2013 The Broadwalk Centre in Edgware has given away £2,000 to local causes thanks to their Community Fund, which helps local community groups and charities in the Borough of Barnet.

Last week the nominations for the final round re-opened, meaning there is just a few days left to nominate your cause to win the final £500 donation.

So far, donations have been awarded to Resources for Autism, Hadley Wood & Wingate Football Club's Olympic Legacy, the SAI School of Harrow and The Larches Community for young people and adults with learning disabilities.

If you know of a local cause, charity, club or group that could benefit from a £500 donation then please nominate them. Maybe the scout hut needs new supplies, a nursing home is saving up for an outing with the residents or a charity needs new equipment – no cause will go unread.

All you have to do is email broadwalk@pmwcom.co.uk with the name of your cause, a brief description of the work they do and how they would spend the £500. Alternatively, you can write to The Broadwalk Centre’s Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP.

The closing date for the final round of nominations is Sunday March 23, 2014.

Broadwalk Centre manager Angela Brooks said: “We have been overwhelmed by the success of our Community Fund campaign so far but we only have one final £500 donation left to help a worthy cause. I really hope that the local community will nominate the causes close to their heart as this is a fantastic way to show your support.”

A few of the nominations received will be selected as finalists and, as reader of The Times Series, you will be able to vote for who you think should win the £500 donation.
