Grabbing their magnifying glasses and deerstalker hats, Thames Ditton Infants School pupils pretended to be Tin Tin, Emil and Sherlock for the day.
The detective and scientists dress up day on Friday, March 7, marked the end of a three day maths and science challenge at the school, where their inner Sherlock was put to the test.
Each day, children had to work together to complete a range of challenges and the answers to each challenge were clues to a puzzle called how to free the Gruffalo.
Activities ranged from weighing and measuring Gruffalo crumble to designing shelters for animals and solving number sequences to crack a code and reveal a secret message.
