A man from Southfleet has appealed to the burglars who took his bike worth £1000 and said 'I would like it back'.

Kent Police are investigating the shed burglary which took place between 4pm on Wednesday, March 12 and 9am on Saturday, March 15 in Red Street, Southfleet.

Another bike and some golf clubs were also taken.

A police spokesman said: "One of the bicycles is distinctive and the victim has released photographs in the hope someone may recognise it.

"It is a white Ribble Sportive adult road racing bike, with a white saddle and white rims to the wheel.

"Its serial number is RB-110710-1-0100 and it is in good condition."

The victim, a man in his 40s, added: 'I am very distressed by the loss of the bike - it cost me nearly £1,000.

"I use it as a way to keep fit and would like it back."
