Woman treated in hospital after alleged assault outside Christ Church in Petts Wood

A 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital after an alleged assault outside Christ Church in Willett Way, Petts Wood in the early hours of this morning.

The church car park and gardens are currently taped off by police and a car remains at the scene.

Towncourt Lane at the junction with Tudor Way was also taped off by police.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were called to an allegation of assault that occurred outside Christ Chruch, Tudor Way, Petts Wood at 12:57am on Monday, March 17.

"A 22-year-old female was treated at the PRUH for minor injuries.

"A 26-year-old male was arrested in Towncourt Lane, Petts Wood a short while later and remains in custody."
