Events aimed at encouraging more people to take advantage of free NHS hearing checks will take place as part of Hearing Awareness Week.
Ronald Brown Opticians in Green Lanes will host the events from Monday, March 24 to Saturday, March 29 with experts on hand to answer any questions, carry out free hearing checks and demonstrate the range of digital hearing aids available.
Audiologist Stella Iannou said: “Hearing loss isn’t just a problem for senior people, it can affect people of any age so we would urge them don’t be shy, drop in and see us for a free screening.
“Having a hearing impairment isn’t an illness, nor is it a stigma and now with NHS provision on the high street it’s never been easier to access both free hearing care and quality digital hearing aids in the comfort of a store.”
