Elderly people can get advice and information on how to avoid potentially deadly falls with small changes to their homes and lifestyles at a free event next week.
The Falls Awareness day is being hosted at the Ann Owens Centre in Oak Lane, East Finchley, next Tuesday and includes talks and demonstrations from experts.
Age UK Barnet and Home Instead Senior Care Barnet are hosting the day, which the groups say will be friendly and sociable, with chances to meet new friends and have fun.
Registration with tea and coffee begins at 10.30am, and talks and demonstrations run from 11am to 12.30pm.
