More than 150 people turned out to get health advice at a free healthy eating, nutrition and lifestyle event.

The event at York House, Twickenham, on Thursday, February 27, featured a health fair and a presentation from public health consultant, Anna Raleigh, and public health lead, Pippa Burge.

People learned how to live healthier lives, make better lifestyle choices, had mini-health checks and signed up to free NHS services including weight loss, stopping smoking or alcohol cut down programmes.

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust’s medical director Dr Rosalind Ranson said: “It was great to see so many people at our event and I hope we have inspired local people to live healthier lifestyles.

“It’s important that people have access to the right information and support that can help them eat well and be healthier.

“This event was about showing people how they can make simple changes to their diet and lifestyle which can lead to significant improvements in their health.

“Staff from our health and wellbeing services were on hand at the event to showcase their work and I was impressed with the range of support and advice that is available for local people.”
