A Brockley man who blasted bullets at bouncers after he was thrown out of a nightclub has been jailed for a total of 22 years.

Police say it was a "miracle that no-one was harmed" by Tunde Olutosin who was chucked out of the club in the early hours of May 19 last year, before returning - armed and hellbent on revenge.

Following an earlier fight inside the Fire club in Vauxhall, the 24-year-old, of St Norbert Road, threatened bouncers with a broken bottle, leading to an altercation that left him with a facial injury and a couple of lost teeth.

Before leaving the area he repeatedly threatened to return with a gun and kill the doormen. True to his word, he came back with a gun but, as he let off the firearm, it jammed several times and missed all four of the door staff.

Following an Old Bailey trial, he was convicted yesterday (March 6) of four counts of attempted murder, plus possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Acting Detective Sergeant Sylvia Diggins from the Trident South Reactive Team said: "However frustrating this may have been for Olutosin it did not warrant him arming himself with a gun and then firing at the door staff. It is a miracle that no-one was harmed."
