Plucky pancake-lovers took part in a nail biting race last Tuesday (MARCH 5).
The second annual pancake races took place in New Road, Gravesend, involving around 30 participants.
Spectators looked on in wonder as the runners raised cash for the British Heart Foundation by flipping the pancakes as they sprinted down the road.
The mayor, Councillor Derek Sales, presented the trophy to the overall winner Joel Walker from Outline Health and Fitness at Cascades and Cygnets leisure centres.
Mayoress Mrs Pam Sales judged the pancake flipping at the halfway stage where entrants had to flip their pancakes three times before continuing the race.
The event was organisation by town centre manager Graham Long, who said: "I was very pleased with a great turnout from local businesses and the crowds enjoyed the spectacle in brilliant sunshine."
The event was streamed live on Gravesham’s You Tube channel.
