A woman has been charged with conspiracy to burgle addresses, including in Redhill, in connection with a string of incidents involving Asian gold.

Claudia Santos, 39, of Portal Close, London, appeared at Lewes Crown Court charged with offences of conspiracy to burgle spanning Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, as well as incidents in Worcester and Peterborough. The charges are in connection with the theft of gold jewellery from Asian families.

Santos has been charged with conspiring to burgle an address in Horley Road, Redhill, on September 18, 2012, and a property in Quantock Drive, Ashford, Surrey, on September 24, 2012.

She has also been charged with conspiracy to burgle addresses in Langley Drive, Crawley, on September 18, Hillside Road, Hastings, on September 20, Kensington Road, Chichester, on October 2, and Churchmead Close, Chichester, also on October 2, all in 2012.

Santos is further charged with conspiring to burgle two addresses in Saltwood Avenue and Victoria Avenue, Worcester, on October 3, 2012.

Relating to 2013, she has been charged with conspiracy to burgle for six offences, including in Walnut Lane, Banks Road and Southgate Drive, Crawley, all on January 29.

In addition, Santos has been charged with conspiring to burgle in Mayor Walk and Glebe Road, Peterborough, on January 16 and January 25 respectively, Hook Hill Park in Woking on January 30, Gossops Green Drive, Crawley, on February 12, Velder Avenue, Southsea, and Teboura Drive, Gosport, both on February 11, and Earlsbrook Road in Redhill on February 12.

Appearing at Lewes Crown Court on February 27, she was bailed to next appear there on Wednesday, May 14.
