Inner creativity is being celebrated at Silvermere Care Home through a new art club.
Residents get together at the Cobham home every fortnight to discuss artistic mediums and decide as a group a project they would like to work on, with the support of James Cropper from Creative Minds.
The art session allow residents to express themselves in a calm and engaging atmosphere and allows residents with dementia to reconnect with previous memories and experiences.
Mr Cropper said: “We want the residents to feel as relaxed as possible, interact and at the same time experience new and exciting art mediums that are used for both the individual artworks and larger group projects.”
