Esher College students enjoyed performing three sell-out shows of their reinterpretation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic The Jungle Book.
Narrated by Kipling and starring his daughter Elsie as Mowgli, the classic story was brought to life from his original text, offering an insight into his perspective of colonial India.
Students from both the first and second year took part in the performances on February 26, 27, 28, and also had a sing-a-long to some well loved Jungle Book songs.
The performance was the culmination of months of hard work from students studying a wide variety of subjects.
Cathy Hudson, head of drama and theatre studies, said: “Once again the students have put on a brilliant show to sold out audiences. We’re really proud of all of the hard work, including rehearsing at evenings and weekends, that students have put in.”
