A woman left with two metal pins in her ankle after being run over in Tolworth Broadway has urged pedestrians using the Greenway to “just be careful”.
Lorraine Wheeler, 25, of School Lane, Tolworth, tried to cross the road on February 14 near Lorimer’s with her son, Kyle, who was also injured, though not seriously.
She suffered a broken ankle and a ruptured foot, while her son sustained soft tissue damage, she said.
Miss Wheeler added: “The van nearest me stopped but the car in the next lane didn’t see me and hit us.
“I was looking where I was going because I had my eight-year-old son holding my hand.
“People around that area have told me that there have been so many accidents.”
