A RUISLIP author is hosting a book launch on Women’s International Day (Saturday, March 8) at Ealing Central Library.
All proceeds from the sale of Suparna Dhar’s first children’s cookery book will go to the charity Women’s Aid, to support women who have suffered from domestic violence.
Women from refuges contributed recipes to the book, titled Cooking Together: Step by Step Guide to Yummy, Healthy and Fun Recipes’ which aims to bring parents and children together in the kitchen.
Suparna Dhar works in refuges across London, coaching women who have suffered domestic violence and helping them to regain their confidence.
The launch will be from 2-4pm and will include book signings, refreshments and children’s entertainment.
