A team of runners took on a gruelling challenge in memory of killed policeman PC Andrew Duncan.

Traffic cop PC Duncan, from East Molesey, was killed by hit-and-run driver Gary Cody in Sutton during a routine patrol last year.

The PC Andrew Duncan Memorial Fund has been set up by his sister Julia Williamson to raise money for charities that were close to the father-of-three's heart.

Family, friends and former colleagues of PC Duncan took on the Hampton Court Half Marathon on Sunday.

Mrs Williamson said: "It was very windy on Sunday and we were running into the wind at lot of the course.

"Our family came to watch, it was very emotional.  We had 25 running and the whole team were amazing, everyone made it to the finish line.

"We had tremendous support throughout the run from friends and the local community cheering us on."

The team raised £8,300 in sponsorship. To donate, visit www.mydonate.bt.com or www.pcandrewduncanmemorialfund.co.uk.
