All lines to Sutton station are now open following an explosion earlier today, but travellers have been warned delays are continuing.
The station, in Brighton Road, was closed for several hours this morning after an electrical cable exploded under the platform at platform 2.

The incident caused travel chaos across south London with no trains able to pass through the station and one train stuck between Sutton and Carshalton for three hours.
Although Sutton station has reopened, staff there say they are operating on a "train by train basis" with all services subject to sudden cancellations and delays.
It is understood the explosion was caused by a fault and means up to three-quarters-of a-mile of cable now needs replacing.
Commuters have been advised to allow extra time for their journeys this evening.
