Students from the Thames Ditton Kumon study centre got certificates and medals for their achievements.
The mayor of Elmbridge Councillor Mike Bennison gave the youngsters, recognised for their success and continued development in the Kumon Maths and English programme, their prizes during an awards ceremony at St Nicholas Church Hall on February 10.
More than 35 students and their parents attended, with the mayor meeting families and praising their achievements.
The mayor also extended his support to the Kumon programme.
He said: “I believe this is a fantastic opportunity for you all and I am sure your additional studies will enable you to realise your potential both at school and beyond.”
Kumon is an after school maths and English study club, with the Thames Ditton centre the oldest in the UK.
