The council budget for the coming year is due to be discussed this week.

There will be a full meeting of Harrow Borough Council on Thursday, February 27, from 7.30pm to discuss the Conservative administration’s budget for the next financial year.

Proposals in the budget have already been reported on and include the introduction of 20 minutes free parking in shopping streets across the borough and a freeze on council tax.

Last year the Tory group said they had made a total of 66 amendments to the proposed budget for 2014/2015 council year.

Just read an article on Independent Labour's budget plans, perfect illustration of how out of touch they are with Harrow Residents. Paltry sums proposed for dealing with the ever growing problem of street cleaning and litter, however they have £200k ear-marked for "theraputic interventions.
Keep the proposed refund (which equates to about 20p per household per week) stop spending money on hair brained schemes and concentrate on stopping this borough becoming one big litter bin.
