A seminar for potential candidates in this year’s local government elections will take place next month.
Barnet Borough Council will host the event for residents who are considering standing for election on May 22 at Hendon Town Hall on Wednesday March 5.
From 7pm to 8.30pm, prospective candidates will hear about the nomination process, how the council makes decisions and the workload and responsibilities involved in being a councillor.
A current elected member from another local authority will also talk about what it is like to be a councillor and answer questions.
To attend, or to receive a nomination pack, contact the council’s election team on 0208 359 4111 or email electionsprojectoffice@barnet.gov.uk
