Businesses across the borough have been invited to send staff on driving courses to save money and cut emissions.

Haringey Borough Council’s smarter travel team is offering free driving courses to small and medium sized businesses to help reduce fuel costs and improve environmental performance.

The authority has teamed up with the Green Light North London project and courses focus on training drivers of company vehicles to drive more efficiently.

Previous course participants who travel 12,500 miles a year have seen an average saving of £374 per year on fuel and a reduction of 0.65 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

Sessions are next available on Monday, February 24, and Monday, March 17.
