A tree was uprooted and crashed down on to a man's car in the early hours of this morning.
The tree was felled in Byfleet Road, Cobham at about 1am after strong gusts of up to 70mph in south London and Surrey last night.
Paul Collins, who was at the scene, said the man in the car was a "mature gentleman from New Haw" who was unhurt.
Lorries were stuck at both ends of the road due to another tree which partially blocked the road.
