Hampton schoolboys and their teachers hosted 20 Chinese pupils on a visit to England.

Hampton School welcomed the pupils, from the Anhui province in east China, into their classrooms for four days and gave them a taste of life in England.

The 13 and 14-year-olds paired up with Mandarin learners from Hampton’s third year and accompanied their Hampton buddies to lessons.

A teacher with the Chinese group, Huang Fangue, said her pupils found it a very enlightening visit.

She said: “Hampton School is very different from the type of school we have in China in lots of ways and I have been very impressed with the facilities and the standard of teaching.

“This is the first time these children have been to England and it is wonderful for them to experience another culture and see what schoolchildren their age do in another part of the world.”
